Last week, I wrote a piece about systems removing daily decisions. Today, I want to take it one step further.
Systems power a goal, or a dream. They are designed with an outcome in mind. If I don’t think through it, they become an automatic response. We all have those. The person in front of me cut me off - idiot!
Then when you build a more complex system, the automations become a part of life. The goal is implicit. The effects taking you there explicit.
It becomes easy to ride the wave, enjoy the view, hope for the best.
I ended up somewhere where my dreams were a simple extension of where I was at. Bigger title, more money. This looks exciting in the next 2-3 years.
But what comes after?
The dream that looks small
After I started implementing my amplification system and realized I could likely retire in 5-7 years, rather than in 30, I thought that is perfect.
My corporate job would fund the next years and I’d accumulate enough cashflow to be able to decide when to move on.
Form the outside, it looked small. I’d put a few thousand dollars toward a simple investing system.
Stability fuels it.
In a few years, I went from worrying about the next promotion to finding ways to not avoid the topic without appearing disengaged.
The small dream has allowed me to dream big, in the important parts of my life.
The dream that looks big
The moment I started the amplification system, I also took a detour that nearly broke the system.
It was fueled by a big dream - to own a business. This would supercharge my system.
I was impatient. I failed. That is a story for another day.
The small dream survived.
The small dream turned into a bigger dream. This one is more patient.
This next dream is rooted in alignment and excitement.
You'll know you're dreaming big enough when you'd rather look foolish for failing than not risk at all.
This is an excerpt from my journal, dated 2/9/2026. The detour taught me a lesson. And now my dream is big and I’ll risk failing again, but with the support of my small dream.
So, which one should you pick?
The question is not which dream to follow. Pick one, try it out. How does your average Tuesday feel?
What do you want your average Tuesday to look like?
Mondays are busy, Fridays and Weekends are fun. Tuesday to Thursday is where you win the week. Fuel the dream that makes more than half of your week an experience you want on repeat.
Design it how you want.
My moves this week
Lines of Credit — no moves.
Portfolio — Leveraged my STRC portfolio and bought another $5000. After the volatility, I simply captured free yield.
Strategy check — all green!
The volatility on some of my portfolio was greater than I would have expected last week, but my entire portfolio was within safe margins. The only decision I took was opportunistic and calculated.
Need a small dream to power the big dream?
Stay tuned for an announcement next week!
